About Me
I'm a dedicated advocate for the arts, looking to leverage my diverse educational background and professional experiences to champion accessibility and inclusivity within the theater community. With a Masters of Public Administration complemented by Bachelor's degrees in Communication and Theatre, I have cultivated a unique skill set that blends administrative astuteness with a passion for creative expression.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to public service, currently serving as a District Scheduler and Staff Assistant for a distinguished Illinois member of the US House of Representatives. In this role, I navigate the complexities of scheduling and constituency management with poise and efficiency, embodying a steadfast dedication to serving the needs of my community.
However, my true calling lies within the realm of non-profit arts administration and development. Driven by a desire to make theater accessible to all, I seek to transition my expertise into a role where I can directly impact the cultural landscape, fostering opportunities for engagement and enrichment.
My passion for the arts is deeply rooted in my love for classical theater and the works of Black playwrights. I recognize the transformative power of storytelling and its ability to bridge divides, challenge perceptions, and ignite dialogue. Through my advocacy, I endeavor to amplify marginalized voices and cultivate spaces where diverse narratives flourish.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an avid enthusiast of fine art and literature. Whether immersing myself in a cheesy romance book or fantastical fantasy or attending performances that push the boundaries of theatrical expression, I find inspiration in the richness of human creativity.
In my pursuit of a career in non-profit arts administration, I remain steadfast in my commitment to effecting positive change within the cultural sphere. With my blend of strategic insight, creative vision, and unwavering dedication, I aspire to leave an indelible mark on the world of theater and beyond, ensuring that the transformative power of the arts is accessible to all who seek it.
